Lactucarium was used unmodified in lozenges, 30–60 milligrams (0.5 to 1 grain), sometimes mixed with borax. However, it was found to be more efficient to formulate the drug in a cough syrup (Syrupus Lactucarii, U.S.P.) containing net 5% lactucarium, 22% glycerin, 5% alcohol, and 5% orange-flower water in syrup. Lục Ngạn is a rural district of Bắc Giang province in the Northeast region of Vietnam. This district is famous for its Kim Sơn Thiều lychee. As of 2019 the district had a population of 226,540. [2] The district covers an area of 1,012 km 2. The district capital lies at Chũ. [2]
The lagoon system comprises several smaller lagoons, namely: Tam Giang, Thanh Lam, Sam Chuon, Ha Trung, Thuy Tu and Cau Hai. It has two inlets connecting to the South Vietnam Sea: Thuan An (in the centre) and Tu Hien (in the south). The depth of the lagoon is generally 1–3 metres, with the deepest site close to Thuan An inlet up to 11 metres.
