Boomerang is a Canadian English language discretionary specialty channel owned by Corus Entertainment.It is a licensed version of the U.S. channel of the same name, which primarily broadcasts animated programming from the Warner Bros. Animation library, including Warner Bros. Cartoons and Hanna-Barbera productions among others, as well as contemporary reboots of classic franchises.

Boomerang was created as a new home for these and similar programming, originating as a programming block on Cartoon Network that launched on December 8, 1992 until October 3, 2004. With Cartoon Network downplaying its archival programming in favor of newer original series, Turner launched the Boomerang cable channel on April 1, 2000.

In order to fulfill Canadian content requirements, the channel also carries reruns of library content (including original series that had been produced for the Teletoon at Night, Télétoon la nuit, and Canadian Adult Swim blocks), and until December 23, 2024 aired made-for-TV films on Monday mornings (a holdover from Action).
The existing Cartoon Network channel was concurrently relaunched as Boomerang Canada, returning to a classic animation format since the closure of Teletoon Retro in September 2015. The Teletoon branding continues to be used for the Teletoon+ streaming service and its French-language feed .
