SAUtv is the television outlet of the St. Ambrose University Communication Center. On-line, program channeling and student run content is broadcast throughout the Quad-city area on the local cable channel.
Two broad categories apply to licensed stations owned by U.S. colleges and universities: Student-run — Stations where students play significant roles in programming, management, and other facets of operations, either on their own, through student government organizations, or under faculty supervision.
There are local, state, and national newscasts. The station also features live radio programs, St. Ambrose University campus news, a local calendar of events, daily weather updates, and student-run music shows. A mainstay of the station's commitment to the university community is its live coverage of St. Ambrose University sports events.
2016 – York College (now York University) joined the KCAC (coming from the defunct Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference (MCAC)) in the 2016–18 academic year. 2016 – St. Ambrose University joined the KCAC as an associate member for men's lacrosse in the 2017 spring season (2016–17 academic year).
In 2008, the building then housed the Office of Advancement and Alumni Relations for St. Ambrose University, and was called the St. Ambrose Alumni House.
