António Manuel de Oliveira Guterres GCC GCL (/ ɡ ʊ ˈ t ɛr ə s / ⓘ; European Portuguese: [ɐ̃ˈtɔnju ɣuˈtɛʁɨʃ] ⓘ; born 30 April 1949) [2] is a Portuguese politician and diplomat who is serving as the ninth and current secretary-general of the United Nations since 2017.
