Valley View is a village in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, United States. The population was 1,897 at the 2020 census. A suburb of Cleveland, it is a part of the Cleveland metropolitan area. Valley View's name refers to the Cuyahoga River valley, [5] and the town includes part of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park and the Ohio and Erie Canal.
The median age in the village was 39.4 years. 23.1% of residents were under the age of 18; 9% were between the ages of 18 and 24; 26.4% were from 25 to 44; 28.9% were from 45 to 64; and 12.6% were 65 or older. The gender makeup of the village was 49.7% male and 50.3% female.
The city of Independence incorporated much of Independence Township as a village in 1914, [13] and the rest of the township was incorporated as the village of Seven Hills in 1927. [14] Today, Independence Township is divided between Brooklyn Heights, Cuyahoga Heights, Garfield Heights, Independence, Seven Hills, and Valley View.
The site is located on a promontory above the western bank of the Cuyahoga River near Independence, Cuyahoga County, Ohio and seven miles from Lake Erie.
