The Copa América is an international association football competition established in 1916. [ 1 ] [ 2 ] It is contested by the men's national teams of the members of the Confederación Sudamericana de Fútbol (CONMEBOL), the sport's continental governing body.
The following is a list of squads for all sixteen national teams that competed at the Copa América Centenario. Each national team had to submit a squad of 23 players, three of whom had to be goalkeepers. The provisional squads were announced on May 4, 2016. [1] A final selection was provided to the organizers on May 20, 2016.
The two teams had met in seventeen previous encounters, the last being a friendly held in 2014 at Craven Cottage in London, a match won by Colombia 2–1.
