Great Commission Association of Churches (GCC) [1] is a fellowship of independent evangelical Christian churches. The Great Commission church movement began in the United States in 1970. [2] Other associated organizations include Great Commission Ministries (GCM), Great Commission Latin America (GCLA), and Great Commission Europe (GCE).
The founder of Great Commission International, Jim McCotter, is said to have usurped "the very authority of parents over these young people" by allowing youthful "elders" to exercise greater influence in the lives of the young adults than did their own parents.
