Pamela's Diner announced in December 2021 that their Squirrel Hill neighborhood location will be closing largely due to COVID-19. With the loss of several long-time employees, the location decided to shut its doors. Opened on Forbes Avenues, before relocating to the Murray Avenue in 2011, it operated in Squirrel Hill around 42 years.
Murray Avenue carried three Pittsburgh Railways trolley lines (#69 Squirrel Hill, #60 East Liberty-Homestead and #68 Homestead-Duquesne-Kennywood-McKeesport) until 1958 when the trolleys were replaced by buses. Bus routes 61A, 61B, 61C, 61D, 64, 67, and 69 pass through the area today.

State Highway 30 (SH 30), alternatively known as Hampden Avenue, Havana Street, 6th Avenue, and Gun Club Road is a state route in the independent city and county of Denver and the city of Aurora in Arapahoe County. Its west end is at Interstate 25 (I-25) and U.S. Route 285 (US 285) in Denver and its east end is at Quincy Avenue east of Aurora.
