Virginia State Route 9 (SR 9) is a primary state highway in the U.S. state of Virginia.Known as Charles Town Pike, the state highway runs 13.08 miles (21.05 km) from the West Virginia state line near Mechanicsville, where the highway continues west as West Virginia Route 9 (WV 9), east to SR 7 and SR 7 Business in Paeonian Springs.
A collision on State Route 9 at Wickersham Street was blocking traffic for all lanes in both directions for about an hour before being cleared around 2:50 p.m. Tuesday. No injuries have been reported.

In the US state of Virginia, I-81 runs for 324.92 miles (522.91 km), making the portion in Virginia longer than any other state's portion of the route. It is also the longest Interstate Highway within the borders of Virginia. It stretches from the Tennessee state line near Bristol to the West Virginia state line near Winchester.

With the advent of the modern road system, Braddock Road changed. In the 1930s after the Virginia Secondary Road system was created [8] Braddock Road in Fairfax and Loudoun Counties was given the designation SR 620. In the 1960s I-66 was built coming through Centreville. [9]
