Arthur Warren Darley (19 June 1873 – 19 December 1929) was an Irish violinist, folksong collector, music teacher, and adjudicator as well as a traditional music archivist. As a violinist (or " fiddler ") he was equally at home in classical music as in the traditional music of Ireland .

Lorin Varencove Maazel (/ m ə ˈ z ɛ l /; [1] March 6, 1930 – July 13, 2014) was an American conductor, violinist and composer.He began conducting at the age of eight and by 1953 had decided to pursue a career in music.
Ed Reavy (1897–1988) [1] was an Irish-American musician and composer of numerous traditional Irish dance tunes. Born in the townland of Barnagrove (aka Barnagrow, Barnagrows or Barr na gCnó), Knappagh, County Cavan, [2] he emigrated to Philadelphia in 1912 where he settled in the Irish-American enclave of Corktown (now part of Powelton Village).
