Grand Meadow is in eastern Mower County and is bordered to the west by Grand Meadow Township and to the east by Frankford Township. Minnesota State Highway 16 runs along the city's northern border, leading west 7 miles (11 km) to Dexter and east 9 miles (14 km) to Spring Valley. Austin, the Mower county seat, is 21 miles (34 km) to the west.
Grand Meadow Township is a township in Mower County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 344 at the 2000 census. The city of Grand Meadow, lies on the eastern boundary of Grand Meadow. All other areas of the township are unincorporated areas. The township was named for the typical landscapes within its borders.
