The Milwaukee Mile is a 1.015 mi (1.633 km) oval race track in the central United States, located on the grounds of the Wisconsin State Fair Park in West Allis, Wisconsin, a suburb west of Milwaukee. Its grandstand and bleachers seats approximately 37,000 spectators.
At the 1991 race, for the first time in the history of Championship/Indy car racing, three members of the same family finished 1st–2nd–3rd in a race. Michael Andretti won the race, second went to his cousin John, and third to his father Mario. The Andretti family swept the podium, while Michael's brother Jeff finished 11th.
The La Crosse Fairgrounds Speedway is a semi-banked asphalt oval racetrack in West Salem, Wisconsin. [2] The outer track is 5/8 mile and the inner track is a 1/4 mile. [2] The speedway has progressive banking in the corners, from 5 degrees on the bottom to 11 degrees on the top.
The track is nationally known for its midget car races, which began racing in 1936. As of the 2008 season, it is the only track in the United States to host weekly midget car races. [ 1 ] The track was closed between 1942 and 1945, since all racing in the United States was halted during World War II .
Road America is a motorsport road course located near Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin on Wisconsin Highway 67.It has hosted races since the 1950s and currently hosts races in the IndyCar Series, IMSA SportsCar Championship, Sports Car Club of America GT World Challenge America and Trans-Am Series and the MotoAmerica Superbike Championship.
The Super Stocks, Sport 4's (stock four cylinders modified for racing), and Wisconsin Sport Trucks [4] [9] divisions race on the quarter-mile track. The Figure 8 cars end programs on the Figure 8 track inside of the quarter-mile. [4] An automated timing and scoring system was set up for the 2007 season, and each race car carries a transponder.

During his tenure, the track had weekly Friday night races in most seasons but in 2013 it was occasional Sunday afternoon races. In 2015, new ARCA Midwest Tour owner Gregg McKarns purchased the speedway from Kunes. [2] He decided to run weekly Late Models races following the Big 8 Series rules with a monthly Super Late Model event. [2]
