Longwood is a historic home and farm located near Earlysville, Albemarle County, Virginia. The house was built about 1790, with additions between 1810 and 1820, and about 1940. It is a two-story, five-bay frame building with a two-story store/post office addition and a small one-story, two-bay, gable-roofed frame wing.
Construction completed in 1993 and the stadium was dedicated October 5 of that year. The facility's first game, March 12, 1994, saw Longwood best Davis & Elkins College 8-3. In 1996 and 1997, the stadium hosted the Carolinas-Virginia Athletic Conference Baseball Tournament. [1]

The 2024–25 Longwood Lancers men's basketball team represents Longwood University during the 2024–25 NCAA Division I men's basketball season.The Lancers, led by seventh-year head coach Griff Aldrich, play their home games at the Joan Perry Brock Center in Farmville, Virginia as members of the Big South Conference.
Longwood University's 14 varsity athletics programs, known as the Lancers, compete at the NCAA Division I level. Thirteen of those teams compete in the Big South Conference, while field hockey is a member of the Mid-American Conference. Longwood has six varsity men's teams, including baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, soccer and tennis.
