The document archive developed into the Literary Museum of Bloemfontein. On October 9, 1972, the lawyer Gabriel Francois van Lingen Froneman, the Administrator of Free State, announced the establishment of the NALN. On March 24, 1973, the NALN was officially opened by Johannes Petrus van der Spuy, at the time Minister of National Education.

Uitsig is a 71% white suburb of the city of Bloemfontein in South Africa. Uitsig is a fairly new and still expanding suburb, but also has its more established parts and is located in the southern part of Bloemfontein. With the newly renovated and expanded Fauna Shopping Centre in close proximity, this is a very popular neighbourhood to live in.
The National Museum in Bloemfontein dates back to the 1870s, when its collections and displays comprised mainly rarities from around the world. It was established on 20 July 1877 and opened to the public on 20 May 1878. The old Raadsaal building was made available by the then Free State Volksraad for hosting the Museum collections.
Willows is a suburb of Bloemfontein.It housed the first post office which was built in Bloemfontein. The post office was built in King Edward Drive, and most young people would know it as King Edward Cafe, however due to communication gaps, King Edward Cafe was demolished in 2006, to make space for residential flats.
