The Watertown Daily Times is a newspaper published six days a week, Monday through Saturday, in Watertown, New York. It provides coverage of Jefferson County, Lewis County, St. Lawrence County and Oswego County. It was founded in 1861 and is owned by the Johnson family of Watertown.
Guy "Shorty" Robinson (May 14, 1939 – September 12, 2024) was an American driver of modified stock cars. Equally adept on both dirt and asphalt surfaces, he was victorious at venues on either side of the St. Lawrence River, despite being limited primarily to weekend racing by his full-time job.
The city is bordered by the town of Watertown to the south, east, and west, and is served by the Watertown International Airport and the Watertown Daily Times newspaper. In the middle of Watertown lies the Public Square Historic District , which was built in 1805 and listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) in 1984.

It was Watertown's second radio station, after 1240 WATN went on the air only three months earlier. The call sign was originally WWNY and it broadcast at 500 watts on 1300 kilocycles. It was owned by the Brockway Company which also owned the Watertown Daily Times newspaper. WWNY had its studios in the Hotel Woodruff at 49 Public Square.
