Turkey accepted the convention on 16 March 1983, making its historical sites eligible for inclusion on the list. As of 2023, there are 21 World Heritage Sites in Turkey, listed as Türkiye, comprising nineteen cultural sites and two mixed (cultural and natural) sites. [2]
