In 1872 (by which time New Zealand was a separate province) the Australasian Board of Missions was constituted as a board of the church by a canon of General Synod. Brian Robert Kyme (22 June 1935 – 16 April 2020) [3] was an Australian Anglican bishop, National Director of the Australian Board of Missions, and author. Kyme trained for the priesthood at Ridley College, Melbourne and was ordained in 1958. Later he studied at Edith Cowan University. [4] He served curacies in Malvern and Morwell.
