Bidwell Mansion State Historic Park was a historic building with surrounding land in Chico, California, United States.It is listed as a California Historical Landmark #329 under the name "Rancho Chico And Bidwell Adobe" in 1939; [2] and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places under the name "Bidwell Mansion" on March 24, 1972. The Atlanta Stove Works company was founded in 1889 (originally named Georgia Stove Company) to produce cast-iron stoves. Initially, their business boomed to the point where in 1902, a separate foundry was built in Birmingham, Alabama, especially for the production of hollow ware and cast-iron cookware to supplement their stoves.
John S. Perry started building wood stoves in 1843. [2] After becoming bankrupt in 1860, Perry secured a loan in the amount of $13,000 to buy the company in 1862. The company stopped producing stoves in 1946 and in 1947, sold its buildings to Kaizer-Frazer for the production of automobile engine parts. The Round Oak name was sold to Peerless Furnace, which continued to make repair parts for furnaces and stoves.
