The hag places Hansel in a cage to be fattened before she eats him. Gretel, however, is hung on a column of the house, reserved for some later purpose. The hag offers Hansel a whole roasted turkey, which he allows a rat to eat. Impatiently, the hag seizes Hansel, and tries to stuff him in the oven. Hansel gets out of her grasp and runs.
The witch gathers sticks, which she takes down to the pigs. While she is gone, Goldilocks finds Hansel and Gretel, and runs off to get help. The witch gives the sticks to the pigs, and as she retreats, they begin to build a new house. Goldilocks returns to Hansel and Gretel with Baby Bear, who breaks open both the house and the cage.
