The UK Dance Singles Chart is a weekly music chart compiled in the United Kingdom by the Official Charts Company (OCC) from sales of songs in the dance music genre (house, drum and bass, dubstep, etc.) in record stores and digital downloads. The chart week runs from Friday to Thursday with the chart-date given as the following Thursday.
The chart was first published on 9 October 1994, when American hard rock band Bon Jovi was number one with the Cross Road single "Always". [2] As of the chart ending on 23 January 2025, a total of 393 songs have topped the UK Rock & Metal Singles Chart. 11 artists have topped the chart with eight or more different songs.

Digital downloads became eligible on the Country Albums chart in June 2009. Prior to that, only vinyl and CD sales were compiled into the chart. The Official Country Artists Albums Chart contains 20 positions. Another chart complied by the Official Charts Company, the UK Country Compilations Chart, collates data on the sales of compilation albums.
In the iteration of the chart dated 7 January, Taylor Swift's Fearless re-recording continued its run at number one, and remained in the top spot for the first three weeks of 2022 before being displaced by Kiefer Sutherland's third album Bloor Street. Swift would subsequently spend a total of ten weeks at number one throughout the year.
