Eindhoven (/ ˈ aɪ n t h oʊ v ən / EYENT-hoh-vən; [8] Dutch: [ˈɛintˌɦoːvə(n)] ⓘ) is a city and municipality of the Netherlands, located in the southern province of North Brabant, of which it is the largest municipality, and is also located in the Dutch part of the natural region the Campine.
The Lichtjesroute (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈlɪxtɕəsˌrutə, ˈlɪxjəsˌrutə]; "Route of Lights") is a festival held every autumn in Eindhoven of the southern Netherlands. It starts with a parade on 18 September, celebrating the liberation of Eindhoven during World War II on the same date in 1944.
