    My wife and I are looking to purchase a couple new sit-on-top kayaks for inshore fishing/marsh in the Ocean Isle and Sunset area in North Carolina. We target flounder, red fish and trout. For kayak fishing, don't overlook Lake Quitman, Winnsboro, and Holbrook (west of Mineola and runs basically from Hwy 80 north to Golden. These are great, smaller lakes that don't attract the "tourist" crowd that big-name Lake Fork does.

    The PWM control works flawlessly combined with foot steering and motor tilt release. The motor drive is the cats meow for distance and fishing on windy days. The overall cost was $800 for Pelican Catch 120 (new-no pedal drive), $50 #30 MK trolling motor, $200 lithium battery, and an additional $200 in PWM,cables, controls,etc.
