Monolithos (Greek: Μονόλιθος) is a Greek village on the island of Rhodes, South Aegean region, belonging to the municipal unit of Attavyros. It is located 8 km south-east of Apolakkia and 28 km from Prasonisi.
Prasonisi is the Greek word for "green island". During the summer, and when water levels are low enough, this island is a peninsula attached to Rhodes by a tombolo. [2] During the winter time, and when water levels are high enough, Prasonisi becomes an island. The southernmost tip of Prasonisi contains the Prasonisi Lighthouse.
