Silverstone Circuit is a motor racing circuit in England, near the Northamptonshire villages of Silverstone and Whittlebury. It is the home of the British Grand Prix, which it first hosted as the 1948 British Grand Prix. The 1950 British Grand Prix at Silverstone was the first race in the newly created World Championship of Drivers.
This is a list of circuits which have hosted a World Championship race from 1949 to 2025.. In total, 74 different circuits have hosted World Championship races. The first to do so was the Snaefell Mountain Course, home of the Isle of Man TT, which also has the distinction, at 60.718 km (37.728 mi) long, of being the longest track which hosted a World Championship race.

2024’s track programme at the Festival consists of 20 races from across Grand Prix, GT, Sports and Touring car history. Both Silverstone’s paddock complexes are used during the weekend of the Festival to accommodate the large number of entrants, with racing taking place out of the National Paddock in the morning and the International Paddock in the afternoon.

The 1998 British Grand Prix (formally the LI RAC British Grand Prix) was a Formula One motor race held at the Silverstone Circuit, England on 12 July 1998. It was the ninth race of the 1998 FIA Formula One World Championship. The 60-lap race was won by Michael Schumacher driving a Ferrari car after starting from second position.

Silverstone is a village and civil parish in Northamptonshire, England. It is about four miles (six kilometres) from Towcester on the former A43 main road, 10 miles (16 km) from the M1 motorway junction 15A and about 12 miles (19 km) from the M40 motorway junction 10, Northampton , Milton Keynes and Banbury .
