Mexican American Football (FAM) was founded on August 7, 2018, as Liga de Football Pro (LFP).The league was founded by the same initial investors of the Liga de Fútbol Americano Profesional (LFA), which had been operating since 2016, with the intention of competing directly with them, offering a different business model.
