I don't often bring back old posts, but I just got my SECOND flat tire today, almost 2 months since I posted this. Talk about year 2020 luck. This time, I was going back home and had a warning for extreme low tire pressure on the interstate, since the tire pressure was losing rapidly, I had no choice but to pull over to the nearest shoulder.
The tow company arrived around midnight and removed my flat tire and installed a loaner tire. My Tesla Mobile Tire Service was scheduled for Tuesday, September 21st. Today, which is Monday, September 20th, I got a call around 9:00 AM from Tesla Mobile Tire Service saying that they are available to come service my tire.
Tesla Roadside Assistance can dispatch a contracted towing service to your location. In some cases the Tesla Roadside Assistance contracted tow service may be able to provide a loaner wheel and tire. You would then have your damaged tire repaired or replaced within ~3 days and drop off the loaner wheel at the Tesla Service Center.
Tip 1. Discount tire offers tire warranty for about $240 bucks on our tires. If they cant fix it, they will replace it. Great deal since each tire is about $370 bucks. Tip 2. Get a Spare Tire from ModernSpare.com for under $400 bucks..includes a nice wheel, tire, jack, tools and carrying case.
Getting ready to take my 2020 Model 3 on its first road trip, close to 1,000 miles. I have the tire “repair kit” and the Tesla compressor unit for tire inflation. But I’m wondering about the reliability of Tesla Roadside Assistance for dealing with a flat tire situation...? Would love to hear your thoughts and experiences.
I have a flat tire (model Y). We tried to put air in the tire to drive it to a local repair shop (Discount Tire), but the tire will not hold air, so we can not drive it. The car is currently in our garage. I have read that if I call Tesla roadside assistance, they can give me a loaner tire...
It’s a little concerning (and irksome) that Tesla will not provide free road service for a flat tire after the warranty expires, particularly considering the Model 3 is not equipped with run flat tires nor does it come equipped with a tire repair kit and air compressor like other manufacturers provide, eg Porsche.
I got my Model Y Oct. 5th and just one month after on Nov 4th I have a flat tire. Requested road assistance service and had someone towed it to a service center last night. Towing is free. This morning in the app, it shows the cost estimate is $560, with $300 for a new tire and $233 labor fee, $26 tax. The tire is already more expensive than I ...
Yeah I contemplated about Roadside assistance but after reading several post here, it sounds like Roadside will try to get me to buy a tire instead of patching. My car is only 3 months old with less than 5k miles. Hopefully the nearest Americas Tire shop a few mins away can patch if not Ill plug it myself which Ive done on my previous cars.
3. Roadside service will tow your car to a Tesla service center, a tire shop of your choice, or wherever you want to go, all within a 50 mile radius. If the tire can be repaired, I suggest going to a tire shop. If not, go to a Tesla service center since they usually have the factory tire in stock, and the tire shop may not.
