As for .45 weapons and generally anything new introduced by Honest Hearts, Gun Runners starts selling everything a few days after you get back. Including the war clubs. And some people still act like Honest Hearts is worse than Zeta. Hah.

This is a shame. Obviously modding uniques has game balance issues, but it would have been nice to personalize uniques.
a unique weapon is basically any weapon with a different name. Here are some ott the weapons: Maria=9mm pistol. Love and hate= spiked knuckles. Pew pew= laser pistol. Oh, baby!= super sledge. This true for all uniques? ^That's a default "NO MODEL" model. It shows up when the game tries to render an object that has no model. Since the model of a weapon changes with a mod, it probably didn't have a "Weathered 10mm pistol with mod" model, since you're not supposed to be able to mod it anyway.
