The info is from the LETC Training website in which you will be assigned a login and password for the training from there prior to attending and the training from the academy itself, meaning the 400 plus hours of our training at the school. Its called "ACADIS".
The VA Law Enforcement Training Center (LETC) is in Little Rock Arkansas at the Ft. Root VA Hospital. It is 5 weeks in length and you are required to stay on the property. The AF signed a 3 year contract with the VA to provide this training and AF civilian officers are required to meet VA standards.

I worked with a guy that was 90 percent VA rated and a lot of it came from a helicopter fall. But he worked for more 10 years as a cop rated at 90 percent. The VA is unique in that they try to hire as many VA rated veterans as possible. If there is a PD one can work in being 100 percent, the VA may be it.
Your training is comprised of 2 weeks in-station training upon arrival on local SOP's and basic information for Little Rock LETC. You'll usually spend however a month to three months conducting light training/quasi-internship. Than you go to the VA Law Enforcement Training Center in North Little Rock for 6 weeks.

The LETC should be offering top notch training to VA Police Officers for 10K. Is that the case or is it a "fly-by-night" approach? How does the LETC VA course compare to the FLETC UPTP?
It states within the announcement that "New VA Police Officers are required to successfully complete an 8-week Basic Police Officer's Course at the VA Law Enforcement Training Center in Little Rock, Arkansas within the first year of employment.". The question is - what happens prior to attending the basic PO course in Arkansas?
The law test is the hardest part of the whole 10 weeks so if you have a bad memory you are ****ed. Not all men can be U.S. Marines that is why there is the Army, Navy and Air Force. 👍 1
