Pulaski County's earliest settlers were the Quapaw, Missouria and Osage Native Americans. After the Lewis and Clark Expedition of the early 19th century, white settlers came to the area, many from Kentucky, Tennessee and the Carolinas; the earliest pioneers appeared to have settled as early as 1818, and the town of Waynesville was designated the county seat by the Missouri Legislature in 1833.

Calloway Manes Homestead, also known as Doris and Raymond Powers House, is a historic home located near Richland, Pulaski County, Missouri. It was built about 1845, and is a two-story, five-bay, frame I-house with a two-story rear ell. The front facade features a two-story porch supporting six hollow square wood columns.

Devils Elbow is an unincorporated community in Pulaski County, Missouri, United States [1] on historic U.S. Highway 66. It is situated on the Big Piney River [2] and is named for a tight incised meander in the river known as a "devil of an elbow". The community is approximately five miles (8 km) east of St. Robert.
