The size of Luohu district is about 78.9 km 2 (30 sq mi) and contains 10 subdistricts. Luohu is located in the southern part of Shenzhen, with Futian district on its west, Yantian district on its east, and Longgang district on its north.

Laojie station (Chinese: 老街站; pinyin: Lǎojiē zhàn; Jyutping: Lou5 Gaai1 Zaam6; lit. 'Old Street station') is a station on the Shenzhen Metro. It provides cross-platform interchange between Line 1 and Line 3. The station is the busiest on the network with 61,600 passenger entries and exits a day. [2]
Luohu North station (Chinese: 罗湖北站; pinyin: Luóhú Běi Zhàn; Jyutping: lo4 wu4 bak1 zaam6) is a station of Shenzhen Metro Line 14. It opened on 28 October 2022. [1] [2] [3] It is part of the Luohu North transport hub integrated with the under construction Luohu North railway station which is part of the Shenzhen–Shanwei high-speed railway.
Its fast construction process was termed the "Shenzhen speed". [2] [3] Located at the junction of Jiabin Road and Renmin South Road, Luohu District, the building stands 160 metres tall and consists of 50 floors. Construction started on 1 November 1982 and was completed 37 months later on December 29, 1985.
As one of the older parts of Shenzhen, the Dongmen area was established about 300 years ago as the centre of the Shenzhen Market (深圳墟), the town which would later lend its name to the city. This leads it to be alternatively known as "Laojie" (lit. "Old Street").
