Jönköpings Södra IF, also known as J-Södra IF, or J-Södra, is a Swedish football club based in Jönköping.The club, founded in 1922, returned to the Swedish second division Superettan in 2018 after relegation from the 2017 Allsvenskan. [1]
The club was founded in 2001, when the old rivals Trollhättans IF and Trollhättans FK decided to merge.. In their first ever league match against Ljungskile SK at Skarsjövallen on April 22, 2002, in Division II (Sweden's third league at that time), they won 1–0.
32 teams contest the league divided into two divisions, Norra and Södra. 22 returning from the 2023 season, three relegated from Superettan and seven promoted from Division 2.
Ettan Fotboll, or simply Ettan (English: the one), which also is its common name in everyday speech, is the third level in the Swedish football league system and consists of 32 Swedish football teams.
The 2024 Superettan was the 25th season of Superettan, Sweden's second-tier football division in its current format. It is part of the 2024 Swedish football season and contested by 16 teams.

As of 2011, Trollhättan hosts a film production complex known as Trollywood; movies shot there include Show Me Love (Fucking Åmål), Dancer in the Dark, Melancholia, Dogville and studio scenes for Lilya 4-ever. The movie studio Film i Väst centered here produces about half of the Swedish feature-length films. [12]
