Freedom is a borough in Beaver County, Pennsylvania, United States, along the Ohio River.The population was 1,496 at the 2020 census. [3] It is located 25 miles (40 km) northwest of Pittsburgh and is part of the Pittsburgh metropolitan area.
The mill was also equipped with an up-and-down saw and it operated as a lumber mill. Later, the mill was renovated by Christian Myers in 1885. With the advent of steam power, the mill was eventually augmented with a steam engine. Milling of flour ceased in 1920, primarily due to competition from Mid-Western states, and the mill closed in 1955.

Monroe (also referred to as Monroeton [3]) is a borough in Bradford County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is part of Northeastern Pennsylvania . The population was 482 at the 2020 census.
It was one of the largest cities in the state for many years. Monroe High School was built in the 1920s. Since the construction of the Interstate 5 highway in the 1960s, the city has turned into a rural farming community. It is the site of the historic Hull-Oakes Lumber Mill, the only steam-powered sawmill operating in the U.S. [8]

The Fenner–Snyder Mill, also known as Brinker's Mill and the Old Mill, is a historic grist mill located on the McMicheal's creek in the village of Sciota in Hamilton Township, Monroe County, Pennsylvania. The mill was built in 1730, and is a large 2 + 1 ⁄ 2-story fieldstone and sided banked building. It has a tin roof added about 1860.
