Almaty Management University (AlmaU) is a higher educational institution in Almaty, Kazakhstan, providing preparation of specialists of economic fields under bachelor's degree programs, MBA (Master of Business Administration) and DBA (Doctor of Business Administration).

Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications (AUPET) (Kazakh: Алматы Энергетика және байланыс университеті) is a technical engineering university in Almaty, Kazakhstan. It is located at 126 Baitursynov Street in Almaty and has around 4,000 students.
In August 1947, the Faculty of Geography was established and, in 1949, the faculties of Philosophy and Economics. The Faculty of Law was established in 1955 after KazNU merged with the Alma-Ata Institute of Law. During the same period, a strong scientific educational and methodological base also emerged at the university.
From 1929 to 1936, the city, then known as Alma-Ata, was the capital of the Kazakh ASSR. [13] From 1936 to 1991, Alma-Ata was the capital of the Kazakh SSR.After Kazakhstan became independent in 1991, the city was renamed Almaty in 1993 and continued as the capital until 1997, when the capital was moved to Akmola (renamed Astana in 1998, Nur-Sultan in 2019, and again Astana in 2022).

Kazakh National Medical University is a university in Almaty, Kazakhstan. It was established in 1931, and the first rector was S.D. Asfendiyarov. In 2001, the government classified it as a "national" university. The university has a student population of 11,000 students and PhD students study at KazNMU, and 1500 faculty members. [2]
