Brobdingnag is a fictional land that is occupied by giants, in Jonathan Swift's 1726 satirical novel Gulliver's Travels. A sailing ship chartered by circus owner B. G. Bannings lands at Lilliput Island, and two of its crew come ashore to find fresh water.
