Twin Peaks is an American mystery-horror drama television series, created by David Lynch and Mark Frost, that aired on the ABC network from April 8, 1990 to June 10, 1991. The series centers on the investigation into the murder of popular schoolgirl Laura Palmer in the small rural town in Washington state after which the series is named.

Mark Frost (born November 25, 1953) is an American novelist, screenwriter, film and television producer and director. He is the co-creator of the mystery television series Twin Peaks (1990–1991, 2017) and was a writer and executive story editor of Hill Street Blues (1982–1985).
