The bits in Ukraine are a bit complicated. I think Romanians are more attached to those culturally than to S. Dobruja. Whoever, Southern Bessarabia is a multi ethnic mix (as the map shows). Most people there probably don't want to join Romania. The bit in the North, northern Bukovina, is probably the one that people would really want back.
Centuries before Europeans arrived in Africa, the Tutsi, Hutu and Twa ethnic groups were already well-established. Just like the Hima and Bairu in Ankole, Tutsi and Hutu were distinct groups. In Burundi, it is proudly acknowledged that Tutsi and Hutu are two different ethnic groups.
Bold move to separate Catalans, Galicians, Basques and Asturs from Castilians. They have different cultures but (with the possible exception of the Basques) the genetic makeup is the same and so is the ethnic group. However with German ethnic and racial theories (Nazi ones) spreading through Europe it could be justified.
I highly doubt that more than half of California's population considers itself Mexican. Most of the counties north of Riverside are most definitely white. I can definitely understand New Mexico and Arizona's ethnic distribution though, and besides that the map looks great. Bruh not all mexicans are "non white".

Basically a mix of a Baltic language and Finnish. That is the part of the map where the author seems to have been unable or unwilling to carry out their goal as evidenced by the rest of it. The educational attainments across the three baltic states alone indicate some very broad behavioral divergence.
