The reservoir it creates, Ute Reservoir, has a water surface of 8,200 acres (3,300 ha) and has a maximum capacity of 403,000 acre-feet (497,000,000 m 3). [1]
Los Barriles ("The Barrels") is a town in La Paz Municipality, Baja California Sur, Mexico. [1] As 2020, the town had a population of 1,674 people. [2]It is situated along Highway 1, 40 miles (64 km) north of San José del Cabo and 65 miles (105 km) south of La Paz.
Many of the trails begin at the campgrounds. The recreation area is wheelchair accessible. [1] Wildlife in the park include mountain blue-birds, red-tail hawks, mule deer and prairie dogs. Fishing and boating is available with stipulations for fishing licenses, boating permits and other requirements.
