Cedarburg is a town in Ozaukee County, Wisconsin, United States, and is in the Milwaukee metropolitan area. The town was created in 1849 and at the time of the 2020 census had a population of 6,162. German and Irish immigrants first settled in Cedarburg in the 1840s.
The Cedarburg History Museum is located in the historic Hilgen & Schroeder Mill Store, which is also home to the Cedarburg Chamber of Commerce and Cedarburg Visitor Center. The museum acquired the space in 2015 and began programming under the auspices of the Cedarburg Cultural Center in 2017. [ 1 ]
