The Pinelands Center at Mount Misery (more commonly known as Mount Misery) is a Methodist retreat center and campground in Browns Mills, New Jersey in the United States.. The center is located on 150 acres near Brendan T. Byrne State Forest, within the New Jersey Pine Barrens on a narrow dirt road known as "Mount Misery Road", near Route 70.
Parvin State Park is in Pittsgrove Township, Salem County, New Jersey, [1] 5 miles west of Vineland, in an agricultural area. [2] The largest lake in the park is Parvin Lake, which occupies much of the eastern corner of the park and into which flows a stream, the Muddy Run ; there is a smaller lake, Thundergust Lake, to the south of Parvin Lake.
A significant section of the park is dedicated as a seasonal campground, complete with laundry facilities, hot-water bathrooms, and RV electric & water hook-ups. It consists of 64 pull-through campsites that can accommodate both tent campers and travel trailers. Two wood "forest view" cabins are also available. [8]
The camp has five campsites, a dining hall, health lodge, chapel, maintenance building, trading post, field sports range, two cabins, a campfire ring, a camp master cabin and a home occupied by the full time camp Ranger and his family. Camp Soule is used for short-term camping, family camping, training, day camps and various other activities.
A prospective campground must meet certain standards before being considered as a potential Jellystone Park location. Each campground is required to have a minimum of 100 campsites and 4 full-service cabins, a commercial swimming pool that is at least 20 feet by 50 feet, first class restroom facilities, a laundry facility and a retail store.
