Ahmad Rashad (/ ə ˈ m ɑː d r ə ˈ ʃ ɑː d / ə-MAHD rə-SHAHD; born Robert Earl Moore; November 19, 1949) is an American sportscaster and former professional football wide receiver. He was the fourth overall selection of the 1972 NFL draft, taken by the St. Louis Cardinals. He was known as Bobby Moore before changing his name in 1973.
Moore was made an inaugural inductee of the English Football Hall of Fame in 2002 in recognition of his impact on the English game as a player. The same year he was named in the BBC's list of the 100 Greatest Britons . [ 52 ]
