The School of Foreign Service main campus, which is part of the main campus of Georgetown University, is located in the Georgetown neighborhood in Northwest Washington, D.C. The Master of Science in Foreign Service (MSFS) is a two-year degree program offered by Georgetown University's Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service. Established in 1922, it is the first international relations graduate program in the United States.
In 1990, the program was placed under the School of Foreign Service and given its current name. Dr. Arturo Valenzuela, as director, oversaw the transition of the Latin American Studies Program into the Center for Latin American Studies. [2] The current director is Dr. Marc Chernick. [3]
