Volley Lindemans Aalst (formerly known as Asse-Lennik and VC Lennik) is a volleyball club based in Aalst, Belgium. The first squad currently plays in the Lotto Volley League, the highest level of Belgian men's volleyball. The club has won the league twice. The team has played several times in the Challenge Cup, formerly known as CEV Cup.

In 1919 Sport-Club Eendracht Aalst became an official football team. After some friendly games in 1923, SC Eendracht Aalst joined the regional competition. They quickly moved their way up through the regional divisions and after moving the stadium to the current location in 1928, the team made it into the national competition in 1932.
Aalst is a village located 6 km south of Eindhoven, the Netherlands, on the Tongelreep stream and the road to Valkenswaard. It was an independent municipality until 1923, when it merged with the municipality of Waalre .
Every year, the Grote Markt is the main meeting place for the Carnival of Aalst. In 2022, when Carnival was not organised by the city due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Belgium, local Carnival-goers met up there to celebrate. [4] Since 2022, the market square has functioned as the location to announce the winner of Prince Carnival. [5]
Emiel Planckaert (born 22 October 1996) is a Belgian road cyclist, who rides for Belgian amateur team Decock–Van Eyck–Van Mossel Devos–Capoen. [3] He previously rode professionally between 2017 and 2020 for the Lotto–Soudal and Sport Vlaanderen–Baloise teams, [4] before retiring from professional racing at the end of the 2020 season, planning to continue to compete as an amateur.
