Last weekend, A24 kicked off new theatrical residencies for Stop Making Sense in several worldwide cities. A 4K and Blu-ray release of the film is coming on May 1.
The tribute album, made in celebration of the film and album's 40th anniversary, features covers of the sixteen tracks of Stop Making Sense performed by musicians including Miley Cyrus, Lorde, and Paramore. The album was released by A24 Music on May 17, 2024, and debuted at the top of the Billboard Compilation Albums chart in August.
In January 2024, A24 Music announced a tribute album called Everyone's Getting Involved: A Tribute to Talking Heads' Stop Making Sense, which was released on May 17. [ 50 ] [ 51 ] The album features 16 bands and artists, including the National , Paramore , Lorde , and Miley Cyrus , covering the Stop Making Sense setlist in order.
