Kek Look Seah Temple (Chinese: 極樂社; also called as Kek Lok Seah Temple) is a Chinese temple located in Taman Happy of Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia.The temple is known for its planchette divination and has a medical room where Chinese medicine is given – which is not common for many Buddhist temple. [2]
The cave which now became the temple gateway was founded by a monk from China in 1890 who walked through the area from Ipoh. [1] The monk then decided to make the cave his home and a place for meditation where he remained until the end of his life. This was then continued by other monks and nuns. A temple was then constructed in the 1950s. [1] [2]
