Brookvale Groby Learning Campus is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form located in Groby in the English county of Leicestershire. [1] The school was created in September 2012 from Groby Community College and Brookvale High School. Previously they were both community schools administered by Leicestershire County Council.
A new £4m school was built on the former site of Holmfield Primary School. Fossebrook Primary School [8] opened for its first intake in September 2016, it provides primary years education to pupils living in Leicester Forest East and Braunstone Town. The school opened with 210 places, with the potential to expand as demand increases.
Each term consists of ten school weeks. Term 1 starts the day immediately after New Year's Day. If the first school day is a Thursday or a Friday, it is not counted as a school week. After term 1, there is a break of a week, called the March Holidays. Thereafter, term 2 commences and is followed by a break of four weeks, the June Holidays.
