The Chevrolet Silverado EV is a battery electric full-size pickup truck, to go on sale in Fall 2023 as part of the 2024 model year. Although it uses the Silverado nameplate, it shares few structural traits with the Silverado line, and is instead based on the electric platform used by the GMC Hummer EV.
For 1999, GM replaced the fourth-generation C/K pickup trucks with an all-new model line; in line with GMC, Chevrolet dropped the C/K nameplate (in favor of a singular Chevrolet Silverado nameplate). Initially marketed with its successor, the final C/K pickup trucks were produced for the 2000 model year.

This region exclusive model would be ...

Nearly five years after pickup trucks made their debut, the Suburban (marketed by both Chevrolet and GMC) was released, again derived from the crew-cab pickup truck body (itself debuting for 1992).
First-generation Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD (2001–02 Regular Cab) The GMT800 Silverado/Sierra 1500 and 2500 pickup trucks were released in August 1998 as 1999 models. The "classic" light-duty GMT400 C/K trucks continued to be produced for the first two years alongside the new models, and the Heavy-Duty GMT400 pickups (alongside the GMT400 SUVs) were continued until 2000, with the new GMT800 ...
1961 Chevrolet Apache C10. The first-generation C/K trucks are built using body-on-frame construction. Diverging from light truck design precedent, the C/K ended its use of straight frame rails, adopting a drop-center design; 1 ⁄ 2-ton and 3 ⁄ 4-ton trucks used a hybrid of an X-frame and perimeter-frame layout, while 1-ton trucks used a drop-center ladder frame.
