Springhill is a small city in the northernmost of Webster Parish, Louisiana, United States. The population was 5,279 at the 2010 census , a decrease of 160 since 2000. Springhill is part of the Minden Micropolitan Statistical Area though it is thirty miles north of Minden, the seat of government of Webster Parish.
In 2011, the parish school board faced a large financial deficit and considered a series of options. [2] [3] Ultimately a plan for consolidation was adopted, in which schools in Sarepta, Cotton Valley, Shongaloo were consolidated into Springhill High School, and the high school was renamed North Webster High School. Oakland, Union Parish, Louisiana is a former community in northern Union Parish, Louisiana, United States. About one mile south of the Arkansas state line, it is 18 miles (29 km) north of Farmerville and 10 miles (16 km) northwest of Marion.
