Try this step to get back the news feed: 1-Open Edge 2-Click on the Gear Icon on the top corner in the right 3-In the Page Layout tab, select Informational (as shown in the image below) 4-You can select Custom and choose more news feed options as well. Please let me know if you need further assistance and keep me updated.
I understand. Good news is, the switch is available for some users in the top right menu( thanks to my colleague suggestion). I think it would come soon to your region as well. Appreciate your patience.
Usually the News Feed is on by default. When you open a new tab, you can see a bottom bar with some options. Click "My feed" (The first option) to open the feed. You can also click "personalize" to change your interests. If you cannot see this option, click on the gear icon on the upper right corner and select "Informational". I hope this helps!
You found some old instructions, but they're pretty much the same still. If you open a new tab and click on its gear icon, then on Custom, the available content options are in a dropdown at the bottom of the menu that opens.
This works for me, but I'd rather turn only Edge's "My Feed" news off. I want to keep my custom keyword-driven feeds. When Edge asked me if I wanted to set up my feed interests, it should have been using those interests to populate the main "my feed" page. Instead, Edge stuffs "my feed" with INSANE extremist disinformation and other garbage.
The settings icon is also disappeared from the new tab page with news feed and all other icons. As in my screenshot only available icons are Microsoft start, search bar and favorites. Also, I tried changing the layout after clearing cookies but when I reopen edge everything gets disappeared.
I've hide a bunch of them and they still end up showing, but I'm constantly having to hide them all since there are sooooo many. How do I disable the top stories, and the news and interest without turning off my widgets. I ONLY want the weather to show. I've uninstalled microsoft news but I'm still seeing the news stories.
Again. Sometimes, news feed loads, sometimes not. After hitting the refresh button on my widgets I am still receiving outdated news articles and garbage I never gave rights to reading from a few months ago. I just don't like them showing up on my feed. And apparently, after too much refreshing, I'm still stuck on my news feed.
I keep getting content that I do not want. Ie: I do not want anything from Newsweek, Washington Examiner, Fox News or other tabloid 'news' sites. How do I block them?I need to either block these bad
In Microsoft Edge, the news headlines are either along the bottom, as headings, or are displaying news content on your start screen. When you scroll down, you will see more news items based on your interests/settings appear. When you click onto them, this will open in a new tab where you can read the news article.
