    If you're unsure. and are looking for a train to run on that small a radius track,then Lionel makes a very pretty 0-6-0 locomotive that's right at home on the smaller radius/diameter track.Hartland Locomotive Works trains are also great on the smaller radius/diameter curves. Even their beautiful 4-4-0 will take those smaller curves with aplomb!

    Professional Idiot. 6 Sep 2017. #2. Aristo track is more of a yellowish brass compared to LGB, sleepers are black as opposed to brown, and come in narrow and std gauge versions. Curved track sleepers can have a bit of an odd gap at the joints, but they do fit LGB.

    The Track in the garden is at 22inch high. If I use 1-20 over that 13ft, you are correct this will give me 8.25 inch rise. Added to the 22 inch + 8.25 inch minus the shed floor I3 inch) I make that a bench hight of 27.5 inches. If I then add the depth of track and rails it’s aprx 28 inches hight.

    31 Aug 2015. #3. Hi Mark, Aristo, LGB, Piko, Trainline45 and AMS (Accucraft) are all pretty much 100% compatible in terms of rail profile. Peco and Tenmille require adaptors as their profiles are different. Only Aristo has the drilled and screwed joiners, so if you use them you may want to factor in the cost of rail clamps for any new track.
