Hey guys, used to have Minecraft downloaded when I was on windows 10. Got my pc upgraded a bit and the guy put me onto windows 11. Now whenever I downloaded the Minecraft launcher it just says “windows is updating” and sits on that screen for hours. Nothing is happening and really not sure where to go from here. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Minecraft launcher, repairing and resetting it, running it as admin, and restarting my computer. None of these things have resolved the issue. I am able to get the legacy launcher to work, but I am specifically trying to play Minecraft for Windows, and that is incompatible with the legacy launcher.
